Poetry. 2 minutes to read.
Sometimes I doubt the beauty of my words
If I say there are sunbursts in your eyes
And your voice sings and soars like Cupid’s Cords
Would you read another lover’s quick rhymes?
I fear my mind lacks fresh poems on love
Then I see you and write up a new one
‘Cause you are softer than a rainy night
With lips that dull even the purest light
And if your storm should shower down on me
I’d soak in your sweet bounty from my knees
For as silver rain nourishes the trees
Your love, to me, shares a similar need
As long as the Earth continues to breathe,
Or if it’s stopped, then our drums will still beat.
