Austin Treat

Life is fascinating. So I write about it.
Born June 2nd, 1995, Austin Treat grew up in the summer haven of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. After receiving his diploma from Chatham High School in 2013, he enrolled in a Bachelor of Arts program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, studying political science, French, and comparative literature. He lived in Paris for a year and published his first short story, “Mask of Mano,” before graduating in 2017 (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa).
He spent the next five years living with actors and filmmakers Troy and Dakota Lustick, first in Boston, then in Los Angeles, where he met his wife, Erin.
In 2022, he moved to Maine to pursue a career in teaching English and to complete his Masters of Education at the University of Southern Maine.
He currently teaches high school English at Fryeburg Academy in western Maine, where his students provide enough YA material to fill a John Green novel.
