Austin Treat

Life is fascinating. So I write about it.

Born June 2nd, 1995, Austin Treat grew up in the summer haven of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. After receiving his diploma from Chatham High School in 2013, he enrolled in a Bachelor of Arts program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, studying political science, French, and comparative literature. He lived in Paris for a year and published his first short story, “Mask of Mano,” before graduating in 2017 (magna cum laude) and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honors society.

He lived in Somerville, MA, after college, where he worked in tech sales, then as a bouncer in Boston, and as a part-time actor, before moving to Los Angeles, where he met his wife, Erin, in 2019.

In 2022, he moved to Maine to pursue a career in teaching English and to complete his Masters of Education at the University of Southern Maine.

He currently teaches high school English at Fryeburg Academy in western Maine.
